Petzl ASAP Fall Arrest Device

The Petzl ASAP is a compact, mobile fall arrester that automatically follows your movements up and down during rope-assisted work. In the event of a fall, slip, or uncontrolled descent, the integrated locking wheel locks immediately—even if you grab the device as a reflex. It functions reliably on vertical or inclined ropes and, thanks to its rugged aluminum and stainless steel construction, grips effectively even on muddy or icy ropes from 10 to 13 mm in diameter.

The device can be easily installed or removed at any point on the rope. For working at a flexible distance from the rope, the ASAP can be combined with a compatible energy absorber such as the ASAP’SORBER or ASAP’SORBER AXESS, making the system certified for two-person rescue operations with a load of up to 250 kg. In its latest version, this proven safety device weighs 230 g and complies with all current international safety standards, including CE EN 12841 Type A, CE EN 353-2, and ANSI Z359.15.
