The DMM Captain is a highly functional throw hook that significantly increases your mobility during complex traverses in the tree. Thanks to its well-engineered geometry and the articulated D-shackle, the hook automatically aligns itself optimally within branch unions. A standout feature is the replaceable weight in the hook tip, allowing you to fine-tune the balance to suit your individual requirements. The hook’s wide, flat profile ensures gentle contact with the bark, helping to protect the tree from damage.

Installation is quick and straightforward: the textile attachment point can be opened, allowing direct connection of rope splices, knots, or carabiners. For smooth workflow and safe stowage, the integrated parking eye lets you carry the hook upside down on your harness. This prevents snagging on branches while moving and keeps the hook immediately ready for use when needed.
