ISC REFLEX V2 Mechanical Hitch

The REFLEX V2 Mechanical Hitch from ISC combines the precise friction control of a hitch system with the ease of use of a mechanical friction device. Ropes can be mid-line attached and installed directly onto the L-shaped guide pins without the hassle of threading. An integrated safety latch keeps the rope securely locked in place during operation.

The guide pins ensure consistent friction in both MRS (Moving Rope System) and SRS (Stationary Rope System) setups for rope diameters ranging from 11–13 mm—without requiring any additional accessories.

What’s new in Version V2: To address the teething issues and rapid wear of the first generation, ISC has re-engineered the system in key areas:

• Redesigned upper links: Additional material and a larger radius on the contact surfaces significantly reduce wear and increase overall service life.

• Better load distribution & dual-spring system: A longer lever arm distributes friction more evenly across the lower links. The new dual-spring system also expands the range of motion of the upper link.

• Easier maintenance & stronger construction: A newly designed axle featuring a flush port makes cleaning and re-lubrication effortless. A reinforced cover plate protects against bending.

If required, the REFLEX V2 can still be quickly combined with the APEX Rope Wrench and Chipmunk Flex Tether.

Featuring a rugged build, a 200 kg working load limit, and CE certification according to EN 12841:2024/C (11–13 mm), the V2 version is the upgraded, more durable solution for daily climbing operations.
