ART SnakeAnchor 500 Anchoring Device

The ART SnakeAnchor is a versatile and intelligently designed anchoring device that offers maximum flexibility for climbing. Whether used as an upper or lower anchor point, a lanyard, or an adjustable cambium saver – the SnakeAnchor adapts to your needs. Its 16 mm wide, parallel-stitched polyester rope with segmented stitching allows for precise length adjustments in 7 cm increments.

This system not only gives you fine-tuned adjustability but also adds an extra layer of safety: when subjected to a load of approximately 5 kN, the segment stitches tear in a controlled manner, acting as a built-in energy absorber – ideal for unexpected load peaks. Under normal working conditions, the stitches can withstand loads of up to 4 kN. At the core is the ART TunnelRing, made of high-strength aluminium, which distributes the load evenly and protects your gear.

Whether used in a choking configuration, as a fixed point for your ascent line, or for redirecting the rope with a carabiner or pulley – the SnakeAnchor is quick and safe to deploy.
