Kong Paddle Bent Gate Accessory Carabiner

The KONG Paddle is a specialized aluminum carabiner that stands out due to its exceptionally wide gate opening of up to 32 mm. Originally developed for securing paddle handles, it has established itself in arboriculture as an ideal tool for hanging heavy equipment on thick structures or harness crossbars where standard carabiners reach their limits.

Although it offers enormous power reserves with a breaking strength of 22 kN and is certified according to the sports standard EN 12275, it serves primarily as a high-strength material and accessory carabiner in professional applications. Since it does not feature a locking mechanism, it is not certified as PPE against falls (EN 362); however, it provides maximum reliability for securing gear. Every carabiner is individually piece-tested at KONG in Italy and is marked with an individual serial number for clear identification.
