Petzl Croll L Chest Ascender

The Petzl Croll is a compact chest ascender specifically designed for efficient rope ascents. When used in combination with a hand ascender like the ASCENSION, it enables smooth, energy-saving climbing — ideal for tree care and work at height. Its design allows for quick attachment and detachment, while the fully integrated release mechanism prevents snagging on the rope.

The toothed stainless steel cam provides excellent grip and performs reliably even on muddy or icy ropes. An additional stainless steel reinforcement protects the device from rope wear in demanding environments. The lower attachment point is angled to keep the Croll flat against the chest, while the upper hole is designed for connecting a shoulder strap to stabilize the ascender’s position.
