ART ZipAbsorber Fall Arrester

The ZipAbsorber 1 is your reliable safeguard against unexpected load peaks in the climbing system – think of it as the airbag for your RopeGuide. Designed for use with the ART RopeGuide 2010, it significantly reduces the impact force in the event of a fall. In a standard-compliant fall from a height of 1 metre with a body weight of 100 kg, the impact force remains below 6 kN – that’s only about half of what would affect you without a shock absorber.

Unlike conventional tear-webbing energy absorbers, the ZipAbsorber remains stable under continuous load and doesn’t deploy prematurely. This makes it not only an effective shock absorber, but also a practical retrieval aid within the RopeGuide system. Installation is straightforward – tools and instructions are included. As is standard with ART, the ZipAbsorber is designed as a wear part and can be easily replaced when needed.
