Petzl ZIGZAG PLUS Descender

The ZIGZAG PLUS is a mechanical descender and operates on the principle of a ascender knot with pulley. This makes it also very intuitive to use, with the same handling as when climbing with a conventional ascender knot system. As soon as the chain links pull apart, the rope is blocked.In addition to easy handling, the ZIGZAG also offers efficient and precise movement in the tree. As with a ascender knot, the rope output can be controlled evenly and finely by light pressure from above on the chain links. The climber can at any time vary the pressure on the mechanism and thus precisely control the descending speed or stop immediately by releasing it.The ZIGZAG PLUS offers versatile applications and is suitable for use on double rope as well as single rope (SRT) with the additional CHICANE braking device. Thanks to the built-in swivel, it always ensures correct positioning and optimum rope guidance in the device. The pulley with encapsulated ball bearings ease the passage of the rope. The entire construction is designed for high wear resistance and thus guarantees a long service life.
