26th German Tree Climbing Championship 2019 in Ingolstadt

May 30th - June 2nd, 2019 in the recreational area Mitterschütt near Ingolstadt, directly at a large lake at the Donau. In the most beautiful weather and with a great atmosphere, we have been able to experience a very well organized championship.

On Friday, the competition started at 8:00 in the morning and ended at 21:00 in the evening. The rescue parcour once again proved to be the most time consuming task, so that on Saturday it had to be completed by two groups. The Masters took place in two plane trees, which challenged the climbers a lot. In addition to the difficulty it was also hard to breathe, because of the leaf hairs. The masters of the men won James Kilpatrick from New Zealand in front of Fafa Weber from Germany. German champion in tree climbing became Eva-Maria Mauz and Fafa Weber. Both were already on the podium in 2017.

As in France in various championships, now also at the German championship there was free beer sponsored by DRAYER, on the occasion of our 25th anniversary. All in all, it was again a very nice successful event, with many nice talks and great impressions.
